a return to analog

It was a long time coming, but while I love to create digitally, things just aren’t quite the same as when they are on printed paper!

It’s pretty interesting, I had been holding out on either doing all digital or all analog (watercolor and marker mostly), but with the advent of the iPad and its pencil, the mediums have been slowly merging. Printing out digital art makes it more real.

While I never threw myself fully into 3D printing despite all the great companies like Shapeways that exist, I’m wondering how long until it’s really easy to print one offs of textiles and embroidery at home. Maybe I will never need to - I can always order my own t-shirts and patches with some preorders, but how much cooler will the creative process be when it combines the best of both worlds and artists an spin off beautiful yarnwork or create 3D models that look less like a video game and more like soul?
